Operations Coordinator

COAST is driving innovation in Pacific Canada’s Blue Economy by:

COAST is seeking an Operations Coordinator to:

  •  Support the day-to-day operations of the COAST project
  • Coordinate operations at future co-working facilities
  • Compile regular progress reports including working with accounting teams on project costs
  • Attend and take notes at meetings including team meetings and Advisory Board meetings
  • Respond to general emails received from interested parties
  • Support the Executive Director in coordinating meetings

This is an exciting opportunity for a person looking to establish themselves in a growing and exciting sector. The COAST team is a small group of dedicated people trying to make a difference. To be successful in this role, you should:

  1. Be a self starter with an entrepreneurial attitude
  2. Have at least 5 years of experience in a professional environment, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in either project and/or operational roles
  3. Be able to work autonomously and within a team environment
  4. Be comfortable working with financial information and accounting teams
  5. Possess outstanding organizational skills
  6. Excellent working knowledge of computer software including Office applications, Google Workspace, Customer Relationship Systems

Salary ranges from $50,000 to $70,000, commensurate with experience.

Work will be based at the COAST Head Office located in Greater Victoria. Remote work and/or work-from-home will NOT be considered for this position. Some travel is expected to events held along the British Columbia coastline and some out of province / country travel may be required – but limited. On offer is an attractive remuneration package and exposure to the Canadian innovation/start-up sector.
